An installation photo of “Line into Color, Color into Line: Helen Frankenthaler, Paintings 1962-1987” at Gagosian Gallery in CA in 2016. In a room with highly polished grey concrete floors and tall white walls, two portrait-oriented paintings hang equidistant from each other. Both paintings are abstract, have thin dark frames, and are composed largely of sections of dandelion yellow, soft yellow, and buttermilk white. The painting on the left is twice the size of the one on the right, and both are reflected in the floor below.
