National Police Gazette

A series of line drawings depicting a number of circus acts performed by the Ringling Brothers circus in the 1920s. Titled “Seeing the Circus with “Sandy” Calder,” the drawings depict abstracted images of a bearded lady, bareback rider, dancing bears, trapeze artists, seals, and others, all accompanied by descriptive, hand-written text.
