Harold Cohen, RA46

Harold Cohen, RA46

An image of a computer-generated drawing, enlarged and hand-colored in acrylic on unstretched canvas, by artist Harold Cohen. The piece, titled “RA46,” was made in 1978 by a robot built by the artist. It shows a series of colorful, cartoonish abstract shapes on a white ground. On the upper left is a pink and purple blob that looks like a clay pot; at the top is an orange and blue cloud-like form; at the bottom is an uneven olive green grid.
