A painting artist Matthew Ritchie entitled "M Theory"

A solid ground of pale amethyst is overlaid with complex geometric shapes, each containing multiple color zones, on top of a central crystalline red structure that resembles an exploding tornado. The rapidly painted marks on top of this tessellated surface are concentric ovals rendered in light blue, mauve, grey, beige, butter yellow, and orange. Across the surface, thin looping black lines of scribbled text relay string theory equations and terms such as surface, action, harmony, curvature, and line, relating to the history of painting.
