Tacita Dean, FILM, 2011

An installation of Tacita Dean’s FILM, from 2011. In a large, dark room with grey concrete floors and high ceilings, a single tall column of colorful neon light boxes glows against the far wall. Rectangular sections of yellow, magenta, blue, green, and red are bordered by white. In the lower lefthand corner, the silhouettes of the upper bodies of two people have their backs to the camera, apparently looking toward the artwork.
